@ RoCk G@rDEN

Rock Garden is a marvelous Sculpture garden created by Nek Chand Saini and this beauty is located in Chandigarh which is India's 1st planned city!!! I thought it will be a garden with flowers and lakes!! But then the entrance was so different as never expected to be.. The entrance was framed by the curvy roads with Terra cot ta pots and cobble stone paths!!! The dried leaves and the pots were looking so beautiful.. It was adventurous to walk in a feet gap path with rocks on either side..then came across sculptures of Men, Monkeys, Women..but the most amazing part is that all these were made out of porcelain, concrete, broken plates, coffee cup, bangles and to say all waste materials... fUnDoo Laeeee!!!!!

One day trip ... FUn doo trip...

19th August, what a day!!! Harishaz engagement… and we had a reason to travel….to Hassan (approx 190Kms from Bangalore). Morning 5.45 I called up Gowda…and I was so surprised to see him late only by 15minutes..(No offence maga)…then he came at 6.05 to my place!!! We left to Shell petrol bunk neat Iskcon to see if Bharath was up in his new IKON.. He was there cursing me for the delay. Before meeting Bharath I had to pick up Kiran from Vijaynagar Bus depot. So with all picked we went to Niriz place at Basveshwarnagar.. After sipping tea with biscuits.. we left Bangalore at 7.10 A.M … Bharath was in the driver seat… First destiniation we reached Kunigal at 8.30 AM and we had hot "THATAE IDLIS" with vada!!! awesome taste. We left kunigal and reached the Marchonahally Dam which was 25Kms from Kunigal. The Dam has two fundoo automatic gates designed by Sir MV which operates without any source of power, by using some vaccum technology. Reservoir is loaded with birds like Painted Stork, Red Wattled Lap wing, White Browed Wacgtail, Black Cormorant, Pond Heron, Little Egret. We enjoyed some photo shoots and left for Hassan to attend Harishaz ngagement!!!

Marchonahally Dam

We reached Hassan at 11.30 and saw Harisha in full formals and exited about his future... 12.30-12.45 we had our meals!!! After the meals..with fully loaded stomach we left to Halebeedu which is 40Kms from Hassan. We were excited to see some beautiful sculptures carved under the patronage of Hoysala kings.

Halebeedu
There were many depictions from the epics Ramayana & Mahabaratha. We glanced through all of them. It was getting hot outside and we were sweating too, then we decided to leave Halebeedu and go to Jain Basdis which was .5Kms from Halebeedu. The place was so calm and there was no one around us except the guide. There was a monolithic statue of one of the theerthankaras "Parsvanatha". There were huge pillars which was carved in such a fashion as to reflect images different from each, like one would reflect a inverted image and in the other fingers would look like crab's claws in the reflection. We were quite amazed by the technology of 12th century AD. The place was green and it was silent!! We spent almost 1 Hr there and we moved to "Gorur Dam".

Jain Basdis

On the way we decided to go to "Pushpagiri Betta" which was located 5kms from Halebeedu. There was a Shiva temple atop this hill and to our interest there was a young Blackbuck in one of the shops!!!After seeing the beautiful landscapes from the hill top we drove to Gorur Dam. This Dam is around 30 Kms from Hassan and built across River Hemavathi. Before reaching Gorur Dam inbetween Belur and Hassan we stopped our car at Hagare infornt of a Shani temple. we generally stop in front of this temple when we pass by it - - -Significance: This temple was built by Niriz grandfather in the 60's. We had a worship and drove to Gorur dam!!

Gorur Dam

The walk to the dam from the parking area was more than a km!!! Once we reached the top we had a gusty wind blowing agains our face. The place is an absolute beauty. It was cold and the Sun was setting...awesome time to be there.. and the Jump was to show how happy we were.. (Niriz shot..).. Then we climbed down the Dam and decided to reach Bangalore. After eating churmuri on the way we loaded ourselves into the IKON and left for Bangalore...Now the time was around 7.30P.M.. We had to pass through 2 accidents scenes and it was 11.30 when we reached Bangalore... It was a days trip but the time we spent together was sooper..Thanx to all for the exciting ride..the moments will be cherished...Boys "FUNDOO LAEEE" :)

The Beast Xperience

This happened after the first service of my Pulsar. It was Friday morning when Niri (office pal – just for the intro, he is more than that) invited me for a tripJ to Dharmasthala. So we had the plan done sitting in the office cafeteria and we were 6 of us on three bikes. All set for the ride and it was May 1st 2005 that my alloys rolled on the highways of Karnataka. It was around 4.30 A.M I started my bike, breaking the silence of Jayangar 8th block, where I stay. I went to Raghu’s house near Bashyam circle, picked him and went on to the Shell Bunk where we all met up for the biking!! All said and done it was my first experience and I was exited and passionate about this and I was waiting to unleash the power of the beast that I have. Well most interesting part is I didn’t know the route as I was new to the roads of Karnataka. So allowed Niri to go ahead and I followed him and another friend of mine YT followed me. The wheels started to roll and it was around 5.30 A.M we were heading towards Nelmangala over taking all the Lorries, we kept a comfortable speed and that was around 60KmHr. We took the left at Nelmangala circle and drove towards Hassan. I know I was little bit careful driving this time because my bike was new J and there was a lot of Lorry traffic. Raghu my pillion was so silent and I could hear only my bike sound. We were slow and around 7.30 AM we reached the Bellur cross, filled our stomach with masala dosas and Idlis. We crossed Hassan and we picked up another guy Harisha from Hassan. We again started and went a few kilometers ahead I saw a road that was clear, my confidence was high and I decided to unleash the power of my bike then the throttle accelerated and I could see the divider lines rolling fast and then I over took Niri and was hitting 105Kmph. I didn’t feel a shake in my bike It was rolling stable on this big empty road. I just leaned on the tank and I did ask Raghu to lean over me and all I could see is every thing around me moving fast. Then I slowed down a bit and Niri over took me and stopped me and then he took us to a small temple built by his grandfather. Once the worship was over we again rode towards Dharmasthala. I was slow after this and I didn’t know the route and I was following Niri and we reached the ghat roads and I was waiting to ride on them. Once we were close to cheeknalli cross we had a stop and we had few photo sessions. Then the vehicle rolled towards kotigehara where we had our lunch. Then came the ghat roads with beautiful scenery and it was hot. The turns and the bends were tackled with perfection by all of us. As we moved ahead every one was really tired and there was a small river going below the bridged road, we came to the banks and parked the vehicle then. dammar we all were jumping in the water. It was 4.00PM one place where we could really cool our bodies. After the bath we got there on the bikes then went towards Dharmasthala we stopped again in Ujirre had “Gud-bud” then the vehicle rolled to Dharmasthala. Finally we reached Dharmasthala at 6.00 P.M. We loaded our luggages in the room and then we had another bath after which we went to the dinner given by the temple trust. The dinner was simple but very tasty. The jack fruit sambhar was the highlight of the dinner. The day got over after our dinner and next day morning we all went to the Dharmasthala temple. After the worship we got our bikes ready and we didn’t take the same route to Bangalore. Instead we took the Shiradi ghat which looked more green and beautiful than the Charmadi ghat. The place was so beautiful and there was absolute no traffic and we were in good speed rocking all the way till we found our next stop Manjirabad. The place was without any human being but it was green, the old fort Manjirabad was built by Tippu Sultan , the place is so beautiful. From the top of one of the watching tower you can see the green Shiradi ghat and the extensions of Western Ghats. It is believed that there is an underground tunnel that connects with Tippus fort in Srirangapatinam. We had some nice pics of the fort and then we left the place and reached Hassan around 4.30 P.M
From Hassan we took the same road NH48. Then we reached Bangalore around 7.00PM and the trip got over L. My first trip was so exiting in a way that we traveled almost 650kms in 2 days of time and I have another 1500 Kms to travel in the city for the second service. The next day alarm rang and I got ready to enter the IT world…..

Whispers of my Silence

The first blog comes from my silence, when i was alone one day my mind wandered so hard that it was all about one thing that u and me run behind every day. right from the rich to poor we all run behind one common thing. yea.. its all about money and money :) dont deny this... the respect it deserves every where is too good that people tend to forget that it was this human race that found a paper, an ink, and the number system to define the value for it. Can u imagine that money is jst a paper and a value that u and me run behind?? the way we really lead our life shows that money made man!!! in the run we forget to enjoy the small happiness we had enjoyed in the child hood, we miss the class room jokes that we shared with our parents, we dont meet up our school friends which we do often, we miss our "box" ice which we would really die to eat when we were kids. we miss goin to theaters that we go in our school and colleges. .. the list can continue..Y did life take a turn like this, is this because we started earning? because every thing in this world is respected by the indepth "value" it posses?? is this coz we lost the innocence that we had when we were kids when we didnt really know the value of money!!! where are we going..??? Think : Can money get u happiness, can it get u parents, can it get u peace, can it get u respect if if u lack the money power?? tough u get these things it might be temporary!!! so all i wanted to say is let money be a part of our life and not our life. The money u posses can have a value only when it can bring happiness to others. so do share a little bit of it and make a difference... dont forget to save a liitle bit of what u earn :)
